About us
Vincent Berthier De Bortoli is a bilingual FR/EN lawyer, with a certificate in Tax and Customs Law.
Born and raised in Haute-Savoie, he is a member of the Chambéry Bar, and was sworn in before the Chambéry Court of Appeal in December 2016.
He started his career with two collaborations, focusing on international taxation, and more specifically personal taxation, in a cross-border context.
An initial 14-month stint with partner firms in Amsterdam and Dublin enabled him to deepen his knowledge of international taxation and gain an insider’s view of different tax systems.
During his second collaboration, Me Berthier De Bortoli was able to apply Swiss and US tax in practice, enabling him to provide a more global and efficient response to international tax issues.
Me Berthier De Bortoli is currently an associate member of STEP – Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners, giving him particular expertise in trusts and comparable entities.
Prior to this, Me Berthier De Bortoli completed his law degree at the Université de Savoie in Chambéry, before moving to Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School for a master’s degree.
His studies culminated in a Master II in Corporate Law and Taxation – GEFIRE – and a Degree in in-depth taxation from the University of Auvergne in Clermont-Ferrand.
In his spare time, he enjoys mountaineering, ski touring and rock climbing.
